Investment and International Cooperation Minister Sahar Nassr said that dlrs 1.5 billion from Arab funds is allocated to implement developmental projects in various sectors in North Sinai governorate.
Nassr, who is also Head of Tahya Misr Fund executive committee, pointed out that the ministry will address the Arab funds to increase their donations to fund the projects planned to be implemented in Sinai by the Armed Forces Engineering Authority in the coming period.
In a press release, North Sinai governorate said the minister, accompanied by governor Abdel Fattah Hathour, inspected a number of developmental projects in the governorate including infrastructure, agriculture and services projects.
During the tour, the governor said that 19 developmental complexes are currently being established in North Sinai while seven others are currently under construction in South Sinai. The new complexes are expected to provide more job opportunities and contribute in protecting Egypt’s national security.
He also announced that three new hospitals, two water desalination plants, a slaughterhouse and a number of schools will be inaugurated soon in the governorate.
