collection of moroccan handcrafts

Exports of handicraft products posted in the year 2016 a growth rate of 16%, a first in over fifteen years, said the ministry of handicrafts and social and solidarity-based economy.

This performance, which follows the one posted in 2014 (14%) and 2015 (6%), shows that efforts of market diversification have yielded their fruits, said the ministry in a statement on Tuesday.

Europe remains the top client of the Moroccan handicraft products, followed by the USA. Concerning the exported items, traditional clothing was very coveted by foreign clients, in addition to carpets and pottery, made mainly in the cities of Marrakesh and Casablanca.
