A vessel coming from Hong Kong carrying 33,000 tons of corn arrived on Saturday to Alexandria Port.

The shipment was unloaded in silos in preparation for examining it to make sure that it is fit for human consumption, said Spokesman for the Alexandria Port Authority Reda el Ghandour.

The stevedoring operations have increased at the port, the spokesman added.
