As many as 48 ships transited the Suez Canal in both directions on Monday, carrying a total cargo of 2.507 million tons.

The south-bound convoy included 25 vessels, carrying 1.142 million tons, while the north-bound convoy included 23 ships, with 1.365 million tons.
