Dredging in New Suez Canal

At least 149, 775 million cubic meters of water-saturated sand have been dredged from the New Suez Canal project.

This represents 60.9 percent of a total 250 million cubic meters that should be dredged as part of the project, Head of the Suez Canal Authority Mohab Mamish said on Saturday.

Thirty-seven dredgers are working in the project with a daily rate of more than one million cubic meters, he added.
