Sixty-two ships transited the Suez Canal Wednesday, carrying a total cargo of 3.295 million tons.

The south-bound convoy included 27 vessels carrying 1.287 million tons, while the north-bound convoy included 35 ships carrying 2.8 million tons on board, according to Spokesman for the Suez Canal Authority Tarek Hassanein.
