Sixty-four ships transited the Suez Canal Tuesday, carrying a total cargo of about 3.6 million tons.

The south-bound convoy included 30 vessels carrying 1.566 million tons, while the north-bound convoy included 34 ships carrying 2.45 tons on board, according to Spokesman for the Suez Canal Authority Tarek Hassanein.
