Two vessels coming from Ukraine arrived at Alexandria Port on Thursday with 94,000 tons of corn on board.

The shipments were unloaded in silos ahead of examining them to make sure that they are fit for human consumption, Spokesman for the Alexandria Port Authority Reda el Ghandour said.

The port has witnessed an increase in stevedoring operations thanks to the use of up-to-date electronic systems, the spokesman added.
