Pakistani drivers and farmers take a break by their wheat-laden trucks outside a wheat-storage centre in Islamabad.

As many as 95 trucks loaded with 8,250 tons of wheat left Alexandria Port on Thursday en route to other Egyptian governorates.

In statements on Thursday, Spokesman for the Alexandria Port Authority Reda el Ghandour said loading and unloading of commodities are regular at the harbor despite the closure of the Alexandria and Dekheila straits for the second day in a row due to bad weather and high wind velocity.

Earlier in the days, Chairman of the Alexandria Port Authority Maj. Gen. Medhat Attia said the straits' closure is meant to prevent any collision of ships and ensure safety of maritime navigation.
