Algerian PM Abdelmalek Sellal

Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal has started Monday afternoon  a working and inspection visit to the border sub-province of Bordj Badji Mokhtar (800 Km south of Adrar), as part of the actions to implement the programme of President of the Republic Abdelaziz Bouteflika.
Prime Minister began the one-day visit by the inauguration of a 13.7 megawatt power generating plant, on the outskirts of the town.
The power station, built over many stages since 2006, with an investment of DZD5.68 billion, will benefit in 2015 of an extension raising the capacity by additional six megawatts, according to the details provided by the local officials.
A 155-km electric line supplying the commune of Timiaouine, Adrar, connected to the power plant, was also put into service by the premier. The project is valued at DZD720 million.
Sellal, who listened to a report on solar energy development prospects, stressed the need to improve the distribution of electric energy in the region.
Prime Minister will continue his visit by the inauguration of a games hall and the inspection of a swimming pool construction site, before visiting a 60-bed hospital under construction and a 360-unit housing project.
 Sellal, accompanied by a large ministerial delegation, will wrap up the working and inspection visit to the sub-province of Bordj Badji Mokhtar with a meeting with local officials.
