The First Vice - President of the Republic, Lt. Gen. Bakri Hassan Salih, has affirmed the importance of setting encouraging prices for producers in the current agricultural season for encouraging productivity.
This was expressed by the First Vice - President when he received in his office at the Council of Ministers Wednesday the Wali (governor) of Sennar State, Engineer Ahmed Abbas Mohamed Saad.
In a press statement after the meeting, the Wali indicated that he informed the First Vice - President on the preparations of Sennar State for the harvest season and the arrangements to celebrate Sennar city as the Capital of Islamic Culture in the year 2017.
He said that they also discussed the preparations to hold the 24th School Tournament next December in Sennar State.
