Secretary General of the Council of Arab Economic Unity (CAEU) Mohammad al Rabei called for continuing economic development and construction efforts as an important means to fight religious extremism in the Arab region.
Addressing the opening session of the 100th CAEU ministerial meeting, chaired by Iraq, Rabei said the Arab nation has to unite to fight the nightmare of religious extremism and continue construction and economic development efforts.
The repercussions of Arab Spring revolutions are still affecting political and economic conditions in most of countries in the Arab region, especially with the flow of extremist groups to several countries, he said.
