Egypt's inflation rate from January to June 2017 upped 31 percent compared to the same period of the previous year, the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) said.
In a monthly bulletin a copy of which MENA received, the monthly inflation rate inched up 0.8 percent in June, compared to May.
CAPMAS said the annual inflation rate rose to 30.9 percent in comparison with June 2016.
The general prices of foods and beverages increased by 0.6 percent in June compared with the previous month. Prices have increased by 40.8 percent compared with June of the previous year, CAPMAS reported.
