Cairo - MENA
International Cooperation Minister Sahar Nasr said on Sunday she is very interested in the formulation of the strategy of cooperation between Egypt and the Islamic Development Bank in the coming period.
This strategy will focus on developing infrastructure, creating jobs and other fields, said Nasr.
She said her ministry is keen on removing any impediments that hinder the projects of the bank in the country.
These projects are meant to increase development rates and economic growth and to improve the living standards of the Egyptians, she said.
The minister was addressing a workshop held to follow up the implementation of the bank's projects in Egypt.
She praised the bank's role in supporting the process of economic and social development in Egypt.
Nasr hoped the funds of the bank for Egypt will rise in the coming period.
Ahmed Hariri, the regional manager of the North Africa programs department of the Islamic Development Bank, hailed the relations with Egypt.
