Egypt's Agriculture Minister Salah Helal held a meeting on Tuesday with representatives of the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI).

The talks with the IFPRI's delegation covered food security, research and building capabilities in Egypt.

An agreement was made between the institute the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) for cooperation on creating jobs in the field of Agriculture.

During the meeting, Helal highlighted efforts by the government to ease the problem of unemployment via agricultural projects including reclamation of one million acres in Egypt's spacious desert.
