Egyptian expatriates' remittances increased during the third quarter of 2014/2015 to hit 4.9 billion dollars against 4.6 billion dollars in the corresponding period of last year, said the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS).
Direct investments rose during the third quarter to 2.9 billion dollars against 0.9 billion dollars of last year, attributing 1 percent of the Domestic Gross Product, the agency said.
Foreign Direct Investment increased to 3 billion dollars against one billion dollars in the corresponding period of last year.
