Cairo - MENA
Lebanese Agriculture Minister Ghazi Zaiter said Sunday his current visit to Cairo aims at boosting economic and trade cooperation in all spheres, particularly in the fields of agro-processing and agricultural crops.
Zaiter, who met with members of the Egyptian-Lebanese Businessmen Friendship Association (ELBFA), said his accompanying delegation would hold a series of meetings with Egyptian government agencies, officials of the Agriculture Ministry, business community organizations, and the Export Council for Agricultural Crops to agree on solutions needed to increase trade for all commodities, particularly agricultural products.
He hailed historic and close ties linking Egypt and Lebanon on all levels.
For his part, ELBFA chairman Fathallah Fawzy praised the vital role played by businessmen and the private sector in the two countries to boost their bilateral relations.
He urged the governments of the two countries for creating a climate overcoming bureaucracy and hurdles that hinder the development of trade relations between the two countries.
