The Agriculture Ministry said on Thursday that the Egyptian fruit exports hit 167,784 tons in less than one month.
In its report on the exports and imports, the ministry said the vegetables came second on the list with 71,093 tons since start of January.
On the other side, Egypt has imported about 1,002 tons of vegetables and 22,708 tons of fruits in the same period.
The report said a plan is set to increase export-oriented agricultural projects to increase the state's revenues of foreign currency for the export needs .
