Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab held a meeting Thursday with a number of officials to probe the issue of quarries.
The issue of conducting cadastral surveys on all quarries in Egypt to determine the volume of extracted materials was probed during the meeting.
The meeting was attended by the ministers of trade and industry, local development and petroleum, head of the Egyptian Mineral Resources Authority and head of the Chamber of Building Materials.
