Jordan and the European Union signed on Tuesday a euro 4.7 million donation agreement aiming to support a national project on census.

The project is expected to be implemented in December with the aim of providing a comprehensive data base on population, demography and social and economic characteristics.

In statements, Jordanian Planning and International Cooperation Minister Emad Naguib Al Fakhouri said the donation would support the government in financing the project, noting that costs were estimated at 20 million dinars; i.e more than US dlrs 28 million.
