\"Getting Back to Business 2011\" conference concluded here Sunday evening with attendance of about 700 local and foreign businessmen. Participants during the one-day conference discussed the investment opportunities available in Qatar. The organizing committee said that the conference attracted unexpected attendance, mainly from Qatari businessmen, which reflects the growing awareness of such conferences that aim at prompting relations between local and foreign businessmen and decision makers. Meanwhile, the increasing number of the foreign companies participating in the event reflects the growing desire to invest in the local market, the committee added. Addressing the conference, Director General of Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (QCCI) Remy Rowhani said that Qatar represents an ideal place for investment as a growing economic place being in a dynamic and attractive region, especially with the rapid pace of infrastructure development. He noted that the role of the QCCI in support of one of the fastest growing and dynamic economies in the world, saying that the QCCI is looking forward to host the World Chambers Congress in Doha in 2013, which would provide great opportunities for the local companies. The event was organized with coordination of several western Business Councils as the German, Spanish, British, Australian, New Zealander, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden.
