Gaza City - MENA
Israeli authorities decided on Wednesday to allow 760 trucks loaded with commodities into the Gaza Strip through Karam Abu Salem crossing.
The trucks are carrying goods for the commercial, agricultural and transportation sectors along with aid supplies, head of the crossing's coordination committee for the entry of the goods into Gaza Raed Fattouh said.
As many as 235 trucks loaded with construction materials were also allowed into the Gaza Strip.
Gaza Strip is currently suffering a lack of fuel due to the closure of the crossing over the past four days under the pretext of Israel holidays.
Lack of fuel forced a power cut in the Strip for about eight hours.
Karam Abu Salem is the only commercial crossing through which the Israeli authorities allow the entry of commodities into Gaza.
