Jordanian Minister of Labour, Tourism and Antiquities Nidal Qatamin on Sunday said 29,221 illegal expatriates were arrested during 2014.
The minister added his ministry is serious in controlling the domestic market and provide jobs for young Jordanian job seekers.
Meanwhile, an official of the ministry here told MENA that the detained illegal expatriates include 12,800 Egyptians and 2,271 Syrians.
