Kuwaiti's parliament

The National Assembly has agreed to extend the mandate of its probe committee on the so-called "deposits case" for another three months in order to finish a relevant final report.
The decision was made during a complementary session held to discuss a host of local issues, including the deposits case.
During the sitting, Minister of Oil and Minister of State for National Assembly Affairs Ali Al-Omair said the government is greatly cooperating with the parliamentary committee over the issue.
But, he said that the government could not provide the committee with information bearing on financial disclosure documents.
"According to the law, we (the government) cannot give information on financial disclosure reports," the minister said, noting that the government is ready to offer any information as long as this does not contradict the law.
