Kuwait's crude oil exports to Japan fell 25.2% in June from a year earlier to 5.04 million barrels, or 168,000 barrels per day (bpd), down for the second straight month, government data showed.
As Japan's fifth-biggest oil provider, Kuwait supplied 5.4% of the Asian nation's total crude imports, the Japanese Natural Resources and Energy Agency said in a preliminary report.
Japan's overall imports of crude oil increased 6.7% year-on-year to 3.13 million bpd in June, expanding for the third month in a row, according to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).
Shipments from the Middle East accounted for 89.7% of the total, up 7.4 percentage points from a year before.
