Kuwait City - MENA
Egypt's Ambassador to Kuwait Abdel Karim Suleiman said Thursday that the minimum wage of the Egyptian worker in the Gulf state has been raised to 100 Kuwaiti dinars.
"The payment increase came in response to the Egyptian Embassy's request for the Ministry of Manpower and Immigration to consider the living conditions in Kuwait under which the worker cannot live with a salary under 100 dinars," Suleiman told MENA.
A number of Egyptian workers have signed contract with the ministry to travel and work in Kuwait.
