The new Suez Canal will be equipped with the most modern seamarks and buoys to achieve the highest level of navigational safety to passing ships, Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority Mohab Mamish said.
During a meeting with visiting UAE State Minister Sultan al Jaber and his accompanying delegation, Mamish said 110 buoys will be installed at the new canal in May and June in addition to guidance and control stations that will be developed across the canal.
A main station will be established in Ismailia and the navigation control system at the canal will be developed, he said.
