The National Organization for Military Production (NOMP) signed a cooperation protocol with the UAE's AI Etihad Steel Pipes Manufacturing Company.

Defense Minister Mohamed Assar attended the inking ceremony.

The protocol aims at cooperating to jointly manufacture various types of polyethylene and polypropylene pipes which are used for several purposes, including transferring potable water, irrigation water and sewage.

Assar said the protocol underscores the ministry's contribution to national projects.

He said preparations are underway to establish a company for joint production.
