Prime Minister Sherif Ismail denied Wednesday reports that the government was planning to impose fixed prices for goods and services in the market.
Ismail said the issued decision aimed at forming a committee tasked with determining products margins.
The prime minister has issued a decision to form a committee grouping ministers of local development, trade and industry, finance, supply, investment, and head of the national security agency, along with representatives from the trade mentoring agency, Defense Ministry, heads of the Egyptian Competition Authority and Consumer Protection Agency to put suitable margins for profits of basic commodities.
