Damascus - SANA
Assistant Foreign and Expatriates Minister, Ayman Sousan, expressed Syria’s relief over the re-opening of Nassib-Jaber border crossing with Jordan being reflected positively at the popular and economic levels.
In a press statement, Sousan hoped that all border crossings would re-open normally, which serves the interest of the region.
He said that re-opening the border crossing represents that the situation is becoming normal, as the closure was an exceptional situation imposed by the presence of terrorist groups at that region.
“Re-opening Nassib-Jaber border crossing fulfills the aspirations of the two brotherly peoples of Syria and Jordan and paves the way for the flow of goods through activating the transit movement between the two countries.
Assistant Foreign and Expatriates Minister said “Syria has not closed the door before anyone and was not hostile with any, but rather Syria was facing hostility… our doors are open.”
He clarified that some adopted a different approach and finally realized that what has happened does not suit the nature of ties gathering us as a nation, particularly the neighboring countries, adding that the Arab dimension is the main compass of the Syrian policy.
