Cairo - MENA
Safaga Customs on Sunday foiled seven bids to smuggle a large quantity of commodities coming from Saudi Arabia, said a well-placed source.
The would-be smuggled commodities included agricultural pesticides, amounts of honey, medical devices, amounts of cosmetics, ready-made garments and cell phones.
The seizures have been confiscated and an investigation was opened, the source said.
Safaga port is located on the Red Sea, around 500 km southeast of Cairo and 53 km south of Hurghada.
