Head of the Franchise Sector at the Social Fund for Development (SFD) Marwan Abdel Raziq said the fund has made allocations to fund the franchise projects whose value worse 50,000 pounds up to five million pounds at low interest rates.
Addressing a forum organized by the Egyptian-Lebanese Association, Abdel Raziq asserted that SFD has made many social contributions to create job opportunities, combat poverty and support small and medium-scale projects.
He underlined the importance of the franchise system in achieving an economic growth, noting that the franchise sector did not only cover food and clothes, but also tourism, services, hotels, children toys and publication.
SFD has allocated dlrs 40 million for the gateway which was secured from the Islamic Development Bank to be given to franchise projects through banks, added Abdel Raziq.
