Sharjah Economic Development Department, NAMA sign MoU

Sharjah Economic Development Department, SEDD, and the NAMA Women Advancement Establishment, have highlighted the importance of developing and enhancing mutual cooperation between the two parties, especially by promoting women's projects in the Emirate of Sharjah.

In this context, and MoU was signed by Sultan Abdullah bin Hadda Al Suwaidi, SEDD Chairman, and Reem Abdul Rahim bin Karam, Director of NAMA. The MoU stipulates that the two parties should strengthen cooperation and mutual work between them and exchange necessary experiences and knowledge.

Commenting of the sign of the agreement, Al Suwaidi spoke of the continuous communication between the two parties and the significant role that they play in serving the public in general and the investment and economic activities in particular. He pointed out that SEDD makes great efforts in developing economic projects by offering facilitates and incentives to attract businesswomen in Sharjah due to its role of controlling economic activities and licenses in the emirate.

He added that the signing of the agreement will enhance the ideal environment for the economic activity of businesswomen in order to encourage women to work, stressing that this agreement comes within SEDD’s concerns to promote organisational competitiveness and to attain comprehensive and sustainable development according to the local government’s strategy.
