Hasabu Mohamed Abdel Rahim

Sudan's Vice President Hasabu Mohamed Abdel Rahim met on Wednesday with a delegation of the International Monetary Fund to review an economic reform program in the African country.
Finance Minister Badr al Din Mahmoud attended the meeting.
Mahmoud told reporters he briefed Abdel Rahim on the positive outcome of the economic program that helped reduce the inflation rate by 25 percent.
The economic program has also helped increase revenues and rationalize spending, leading to a surplus in the budget, Mahmoud said.
Head of the IMF delegation Edward Jameel said he got firsthand information about Khartoum's efforts to improve the national economy.
But Jameel still pointed to challenges facing Sudan and other economic reforms it needs to implement.
