World Trade Center

World Trade Center has opened its doors for business after 13 years since the tragic attacks of September 11.
The 3,500,000 square feet of space was designed by architect David Childs, at 1,776 feet tall making it the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere.
The 104-story building, is a joint venture between The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and The Durst Organization, as it is designed to be the safest commercial structure in the world and the premier commercial business address in New York.
New York Governor Andrew Cuomo said in a statement that One World Trade Center serves as a symbol of the resilience of the people of New York.
As it opened its doors for the first time, Cuomo remembered that strength and courage will always conquer weakness and cowardice, and that the American spirit, defended by proud New Yorkers, will not be defeated.
"This is a tremendous day for all New Yorkers, proving once again that the spirit of resurgence and community lives on stronger than ever before," he said.
