Thirty-five ships transited the Suez Canal on Thursday, with a total cargo of 2.2 million tons.

The south-bound convoy included 15 vessels carrying 700,000 tons, while the north-bound convoy included 20 ships carrying 1.5 million tons, according to a statement issued by the Suez Canal Authority.
