Thirty-six ships transited the Suez Canal on Wednesday, with a total cargo of 2.3 million tons.

The south-bound convoy included 14 vessels carrying 547,000 tons, while the north-bound convoy included 22 ships carrying 1.483 million tons, according to a statement issued by the Suez Canal Authority.
