Thirty-six ships transited the Suez Canal on Wednesday, with a total cargo of about 2.2 million tons.

The south-bound convoy included 16 vessels carrying around 900,000 tons, while the north-bound convoy included 20 ships carrying about 1.3 million tons, according to a statement issued by the Suez Canal Authority
