Forty-two ships transited the Suez Canal on Monday, with a total cargo of 2.09 million tons.

The south-bound convoy included 20 vessels carrying 895,000 tons, while the north-bound convoy included 22 ships carrying 1.2 million tons, according to a statement issued by the Suez Canal Authority.
