Forty-three ships transited the Suez Canal on Thursday with a total cargo of 2.6 million tons.

The south-bound convoy included 20 vessels carrying 1.4 million tons, while the north-bound convoy included 23 ships carrying 1.2 million tons, according to a statement issued by the Suez Canal Authority.
