Forty-three ships transited the Suez Canal on Thursday, with a total cargo of 2.5 million tons.

The south-bound convoy included 19 vessels carrying one million tons, while the north-bound convoy included 24 ships carrying 1.5 million tons, according to a statement issued by the Suez Canal Authority.
