Forty six ships transited the Suez Canal on Thursday, with a total cargo of 2.9 million tons.

The south-bound convoy included 19 vessels carrying 1.3 million tons, while the north-bound convoy included 27 ships carrying 1.6 million tons, according to a statement issued by the Suez Canal Authority.
