Forty seven ships transited the Suez Canal on Thursday, with a total cargo of 3.2 million tons.

The south-bound convoy included 24 vessels carrying 1.8 million tons, while the north-bound convoy included 23 ships carrying 1.4 million tons, according to a statement issued by the Suez Canal Authority.
