Fifty four ships transited the Suez Canal on Wednesday, with a total cargo of 3.7 million tons.

The south-bound convoy included 25 vessels carrying 1.6 million tons, while the north-bound convoy included 29 ships carrying 2.1 million tons, according to a statement issued by the Suez Canal Authority.
