Fifty-seven ships transited the Suez Canal on Wednesday, with a total cargo of 2.9 million tons.

The south-bound convoy included 29 vessels carrying 1.3 million tons, while the north-bound convoy included 28 ships carrying 1.6 million tons, according to a statement issued by the Suez Canal Authority
