Arab League Secretary General Ahmed Abul Gheit highlighted Tuesday the importance of foreign direct investments (FDIs) in supporting development operations in Arab countries and in creating new job opportunities.

The move would serve Arab national economies, he added.

This came during Abul Gheit’s meeting with a delegation of the Arab Women Investors Union (AWIU).

A statement by the pan-Arab organization said the meeting took up AWIU activities, especially with regard to inter-Arab investment.
