Azerbaijan's Economy and Industry Minister Shahin Mustafayev will arrive in Tehran later today to discuss ways of widening and deepening ties with senior Iranian officials.
Mustafayev's three-day visit is aimed at pursuing the implementation of the agreements reached by the 9th Iran-Azerbaijan Joint Economic Cooperation Commission in Baku last month.
A high-ranking delegation, including deputy ministers of foreign affairs, energy, economy and industries and transport as well as managing directors of the country's main oil and gas companies are accompanying Mustafayev, who is also the Azeri co-chairman of the Iran-Azerbaijan joint commission.
The visit will be paid upon an invitation by Iranian Minister of Communication and Information Technology and the Iranian co-chairman of the joint commission Mahmoud Vaezi.
Iran has enhanced efforts to boost political, economic, security and cultural ties and cooperation with the regional and neighboring countries, specially the Central Asian states, including the republic of Azerbaijan.
