Finance Minister Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa received today a Chinese trade delegation led by Ningxia province trade Deputy Director Zhang Xiu. They hailed growing cooperation between both countries mainly in the financial, economic and investment fields stressing the existence of wide horizons to further boost joint cooperation for the common interest of both countries. The Chinese delegation held a series of meetings with senior officials from the Industry and Commerce Ministry, the Economic Development Board, the Electricity and Water Authority, Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the private sector. It also paid field visits to the Bahrain Investors Centre, Khalifa bin Salman Port, Bahrain Logistics Zone and Bahrain Investment Zone to get informed about the nature of the economic and investment climate in Bahrain and the laws regulating it. The meeting was attended by Chinese Ambassador to Bahrain Yang Weiguo and officials from the Finance Ministry.
