Cambodia had granted licenses to 70 foreign and domestic investment projects with a promised investment of 1.88 billion U.S. dollars during the first nine months of 2016, according to the latest report of the Council for the Development of Cambodia on Thursday.
China is the largest investor in Cambodia during the January-September period this year with a total investment of 701 million U.S. dollars.
Other foreign investors in the Southeast Asian country this year are South Korea, the United States, Malaysia, Singapore, the United Kingdom, and Canada, the report said.
Those investment projects have been mainly focused on agriculture, industries, services and tourism.
According to the report, in 2015, Cambodia received 124 foreign and domestic investment projects worth 3.92 billion U.S. dollars.
