Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI)

Fostering Kuwaiti private investments to Henan was the focus of talks held here on Thursday between officials from the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) and a visiting delegation from the eastern Chinese province.
Receiving the Chinese delegation, KCCI deputy chairman Abdulwahab Al-Wazzan underlined the strong bilateral economic ties, saying China is Kuwait's first trade partner.
He added that the private sector is keen on investing in China. Actually there are several Kuwaiti companies investing in the world's fastest growing and second largest economy, he said.
Al-Wazzan urged Chinese investors to take part in the projects of the Kuwait development plan, in fields like housing, transport, infrastructure and construction.
The KCCI will provide Kuwaiti investors with data offered by the Chinese delegation, especially on investment legislations, the Chamber's senior official said.
Meanwhile, members of the Henan National Chamber of Commerce urged the Kuwaiti private sector to direct capital to their province, especially in agriculture and mining.
Henan is among the biggest Chinese provinces, with some 130 million inhabitants.
